A Smithton woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2014 Ford Fiesta, driven by 59-year-old Theresa L. Fisher of Smithon, was on US Highway 50 at Route TT just before 5 p.m., when she had stopped in the roadway, waiting to to turn left. An eastbound pickup behind Fisher went around the Fiesta on the shoulder, and an eastbound 1999 Toyota Corolla, driven by 18-year-old Kyleah B. Kennebeck-Menke of Smithton, did not have time to stop and slammed into the Fiesta from behind.
