A fund-raiser for the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.

“Speakeasy – The Celebration of the Century, Take 2” is the theme.

There will be Hors D'Oeuvres, live and silent auctions, Speakeasy trivia, card games, hot jazz, cold bubbly and specialty “giggle water” at the event.

The first is "Essence in Ochre" by renowned, local artist Douglas Freed. This scenic piece with earthy tones is a 38"x38" oil on canvas.

The second, by Sedalia native, Joe Dino is titles "Solaris". This piece was featured in his show last fall at the LCAA. It is an abstract mixed media on wood panel, with overall size of 23"x51".

There will be other art in the silent auction as well including pieces by artist Myrna Ragar and a piece by Marcus Glenn entitled "Keys to the Soul."
