Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders posted a press release on Facebook Wednesday concerning the shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in the 400 block of North Prospect:

“On Tuesday at approximately 11:50 p.m., a Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force Detective, the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Pettis County Sheriff’s Office K9, and Pettis County Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit conducted an operation at 11470 Alexander Road in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of North Prospect earlier on April 9.

Extensive investigation revealed this a possible location of the suspected shooter. Shortly after arrival, law enforcement located Bear Hagston, 23, of Kansas City, and he was taken into custody without incident.

He is currently being held in the Pettis County Sheriff’s Jail on charges of 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. A no-bond warrant has been issued.

Following this arrest, a search warrant was completed and served for drug related offenses at the address. The search warrant revealed several baggies of methamphetamine in smaller quantities and evidence of packaging.

Three individuals that were taken into custody during the operation were ultimately arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
