Tabitha Marie Lazenby, 35, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her home. She was born on May 9, 1979 in Boonville, Missouri.

On July 17, 2010, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Bradley V. Lazenby, who survives of the home.

Tabitha was a 1997 graduate of North West High School. After graduation she attended State Fair Community College and graduated in May of 2000, and Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, graduating in May 2004. She was a wonderful mother and above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter. She also had a passion for music. She taught K-12 music classes at La Monte School district and was the executive director of Sedalia’s annual Scott Joplin Music Festival.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Gary Harms of Sedalia, Jerry and Cindy (Rayl) Kirby of Mount Leonard, MO, and Myron Riha and Debbie Harms of Sedalia; her daughter, Haylie Marie Burton of the home; her maternal grandparents, Mary Rayl of Marshall, MO, and Bruce and Joyce Bowers of Fayette, MO; one brother, Lance Schick (Kimberlee) of Fort Benning, GA; and two sisters, Stephanie Harms of Sedalia, and Christina Brewster (Josh) of Lincoln, MO.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eula Mae Harms and Leonard Klein.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial of the ashes will be at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tabitha Marie Lazenby Music Scholarship Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
