Sedalia’s Own Dickie Doo BBQ is Closing

The following story comes from Denny Perkins over at our sister station, 92.3 BOB-FM.  I have been sitting on this for a while now, just waiting for the right time to talk about it.  Unfortunately, I guess there is no right time and the word is out.  Dickie Doo BBQ, which has been open since 1974, is closing it's doors after Saturday night's show with Smokestack Soul.

Hostess Going Out of Business, Laying Off 18,500 Employees

They say a Twinkie could survive a nuclear war. Hostess, the company that makes the treat, no so much.  In fact the venerable brand, which has a history stretching back to 1930, has just been shuttered by a labor dispute.
