The Ups and Down of Winter Storms
March 1, 2013 Winter finally made a big encore performance and it was a blessing. It may be a pain and we may complain about it, but the farmers and lakes really need the water. I think this added about three inches of moisture to the ground with both storms combined. We are still well below the norm, but every little bit helps. The storm brought a lot of trees down and left a lot of people without power. Thank you to all of the crews that were out there during the storm trying to keep up with all of the problems.

June 29, 2012 The Sedalia Police Department mandate of "Protect and Serve" took on a whole new meaning this morning (June 29), when Officer Jessica Harris and the rest of the Sedalia Police Department set out to save an orphaned fawn that would otherwise have quickly become a victim in the wild.
