Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum and Ryan Gosling All Interested in ‘Ghostbusters’ Role

The current plan for the next ‘Ghostbusters’ film is the all-female reboot, which will be directed by Paul Feig (‘Bridesmaids’). Original ‘Ghostbusters’ Star Thinks Female-Led Reboot is a Bad Idea

Most of us have felt that a 'Ghostbusters' sequel/reboot is a bad idea for a long time. In fact, so many people have thought it's a bad idea that Sony Pictures had a hard time finding anyone to even work on it (Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg turned the project down multiple times). Update: All-Female ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Reuniting Paul Feig with Writer of ‘The Heat’

Rejoice! While we've known for a while that 'Bridesmaids' director Paul Feig would be helming the upcoming female-centric 'Ghostbusters' reboot, today we have another development: not only is Feig directing the reboot, which will definitely be a separate entity from the original 'Ghostbusters' films, but the project will re-team him with Katie Dippold, who wrote the screenplay for Feig's buddy cop comedy 'The Heat.' This is pretty much the best news since, well, the news that we're getting an all-female 'Ghostbusters' movie.

Dan Aykroyd Wants ‘Ghostbusters’ to Be Like the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe became a huge success, there were immediate imitators trying to follow that same model. But, this latest news might take the cake (or donut?) when it comes to biting style. Dan Aykroyd, the only one involved with the original 'Ghostbusters' who seems to want to have anything to do with the new 'Ghostbusters' says he wants to relaunch the franchise following the Marvel "shared universe" strategy.
