BOONVILLE, Mo. (AP) — The Boonville school district says it will hire an investigator to look into the role of any district employees during a stunt at the Missouri State Fair that mocked President Barack Obama.

Along with all the great memories of corn dogs, funnel cakes, the carnival rides, and wonderful shows, the 2013 Missouri State Fair will be remembered as the year of the clown. While that one incident should not be thought of as a reflection of the fair, it will take awhile for that memory to fade into the background.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association says he didn't know that a clown at the Missouri State Fair rodeo planned an act that critics on both sides of the political aisle have deemed disrespectful to the president.

On Saturday night (Aug. 10), a rodeo clown decided to put a Barack Obama mask on as part of a bull riding skit at The Missouri State Fair. The reaction to this story has already reached mainstream media outlets, and the performance has received mixed reviews throughout the state.
