March always is the best time of year for college basketball. While there is much attention devoted to the NCAA Basketball Tournament, there is also the National Invitation Tournament and the College Basketball Invitational. There are plenty of tournaments to go around in the post season.
One of the things I would like to see is a little in-state rivalry popup between the Missouri NCAA Division 1 teams. Can you even name the teams that fall in this category? Go ahead, I'll give you a second. I have to admit, I had to look it up to make sure I got them all.

Tonight (Jan. 28), Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will address the the Missouri House and Senate with the State of the State Address. The Missouri budget is supposed to be the main focus of the evening. Nixon is expected to ask for more money for health care and education. You can view the State of the State Address live at 7 p.m.online.
It is often said that Warrensburg and Sedalia are in the middle of three metropolitan areas to shop. If you do shop out of town, where do you go? Or do you choose to shop locally?
UPDATE: A Powerball ticket sold in Dearborn matched all six Powerball numbers drawn last night to win half of the $587.5 million jackpot. At $293.7 million, this is the largest jackpot prize ever won in Missouri and the second-largest Powerball jackpot awarded nationwide. The ticket was sold at Trex Mart, 17605 Highway Z, in Dearborn. The winning numbers were: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29, and the Powerball number was 6.
The 2013 concert season is already shaping up to be a good one for Missouri. Between the reunion tours, hot new artists and everyone in between, it seems that more and more artists want to book a show in the the Show-Me State. Unfortunately for us here in Sedalia/Warrensburg, those shows don't often come right to our backyard like they do in St. Louis or Kansas City. That means road-tripping for shows.
