1 week ago University of Missouri Chancellor Brady Deaton announced this afternoon (June 12) that he will step down on Nov. 15, 2013, at a press conference held on campus at Jesse Hall. Deaton, who became chancellor of MU in 2004 Deaton, praised the "record growth in diversity of our student body" on campus during his announcement.
The University of Missouri has wrapped up its search for a final opponent for its 2013 football schedule, as Mizzou and Arkansas State University have agreed to a home-and-home series, with games in 2013 and 2015. This season's game will be played in Columbia on Sept. 28, with the return game scheduled for Sept. 12, 2015 in Jonesboro, Ark. Kickoff times for all 2013 Mizzou Football games will not be set until SEC television selections are made this summer.
October 4, 2012 University of Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham has been suspended from Mizzou's football program following his arrest on Wednesday night (October 4). The freshman and former No. 1 draft pick in the nation was taken into custody by the MU Police Department with two other Mizzou football players on on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.
