Veterans Day Ceremony at Pettis County Courthouse Honors Local Servicemembers [PHOTOS]

Many veterans and supporters gathered around the Pettis County Courthouse for the Veterans Day Ceremony today (Nov. 11). The ceremony is traditionally done on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month nationwide. This was originally Armistice Day and is now known as Veterans Day.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Reports Fatal Accidents in Pettis County and Benton County Over the Weekend

At 2:10 p.m. last Friday (Oct. 25), the Missouri State highway patrol reported a fatality accident on Route “W” East of Route “M” in Pettis County. The accident occurred as the 1998 Pontiac driven by 36-year-old Tracie Gibson of Smithton ran off of the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned, striking a fence and some trees before coming to rest on its wheels

Pettis County became one step closer to going green as 1000 pound crates of solar panels were slowly lifted to the roof of the Pettis County Court House. The Hugh Crane from W&M Welding began the operation on the south side of the Pettis County Courthouse a little after 8:00 this morning (Aug. 30).

Pettis County Needs an Urgent Care Center [OPINION]

The Missouri State Fair time frame usually brings about some sort of health issue with me. The last two years of the fair I've lost my voice, and this year I injured my ankle. I did not get injured on the job either, just took a bad step and it hurt a lot. It appears that I have sprained it. On last Friday afternoon, it really started to bug me. I had countless people tell me I need to go get it checked out. Only one problem: in Sedalia after 5 p.m. on any given Friday, you can only go to to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room for a checkup.
