August 22, 2012 According to Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zweifel, 523 fair attendees found $68,000 in unclaimed property at the 2012 Missouri State Fair. One fair attendee was lucky enough to find $4,600 in unclaimed property. Treasurer Zweifel’s staff conducted over 1500 searches and talked to thousands of fairgoers about finding valuable unclaimed property.
August 20, 2012 The Missouri State Fair has announced the refund procedure for the auto races at State Fair Speedway on August 19. The races were cancelled after a crash injured several spectators on the infield of the track.

August 18, 2012 Just before the Missouri State Fair, Bruce had what he described as "Fair Voice" already, as he has started going hoarse. Each year it seems we at at the radio station fight it. This year I have managed to avoid it, but today it hit with a vengeance just before introducing Bush Hawg on the Bud Tent. I highly recommend you go check them out on Saturday at 2 and 6 p.m. I thought if I managed to go home and rest up Friday, all would be okay.

August 11, 2012 One of the great things about coming to the Missouri State Fair is it is the opportunity for you to talk with your leaders and representatives from Jefferson City at many of them have booths set up through the Missouri State Fairgrounds. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel is one example of those booths in the Mathewson Exhibition Center.

You usually see huge crowds at the Missouri State Fair for things like the Grand Opening or Two Buck Bonanaza Day, where not only do you get into the Missouri State Fair for $2, you can get deals through the Missouri State Fair. This first day was no exception.
August 9, 2012 The first day of the 110th Missouri State Fair began today with speeches and music from the Marshall Municipal Band in front of the Fire Station on the North Side of the Fairgrounds. A large crowd endured the heat, as Mark Wolfe, the Missouri State Fair Director lead off with a speech that recognized the success and longevity of the fair.
