You may accomplish a lot in your life, but chances are everything you do will pale in comparison to this.

Collin Burns solved a Rubik's Cube in a record 5.25 seconds last Saturday at a World Cube Association event in Doylestown, Penn. The old record was a slow-by-comparison 5.55 seconds.

To give you an idea of the lightning fast speed Burns completed the feat, you should realize that he did is quicker in about the same time it took you to read this sentence.

Burns' accomplishment has not officially been verified yet, but a spokesman for the WCA said it will be soon:

Although this result has not been uploaded to the WCA database just yet, we can confirm that this is (or will be soon) the new official WCA world record for the 3x3x3 single solve category. To our best knowledge, it has been performed in an official competition, with all the rules being followed, even the scramble has been checked for its correctness."

Yeah, it's impressive, but can Burns do this? Or this? Check back in with us when he's got these down pat.
