The Smith-Cotton Tigers football team continued their three-game road trip as they traveled to Clinton to take on the Cardinals Friday night.

The Cardinals got on top quickly by scoring 15 quick points. The Tigers came back and by halftime, the score was 22-14, with Clinton leading.

By the end of the third quarter, the Tigers had tied the game at 29.

But Clinton scored a couple of touchdowns late in the ballgame, and by the end of the fourth quarter, the Cardinals had won the game, 43-36.

The Tigers are now 3-1 in the West Central Conference and 4-3, overall.

The Smith-Cotton Tigers travel to North Kansas City on October 7th, for their next matchup. They will take on Saint Pius X High School. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.
