Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday morning in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2022 Lexus SUV, driven by 76-year-old Danny L. Bane of Plymouth, Minnesota, was on Missouri 7, just north of Kircher Road (southeast of Harrisonville) around 11:50 a.m., when the Lexus changed lanes in front of a northbound 2004 International Harvester, driven by 50-year-old Dennis R. Loyd of Malden, Mo.

The front of the Harvester struck the rear of the Lexus, which then swerved to the left to avoid striking it again.

A northbound 2022 Chevy Blazer, driven by 68-year-old Larry W. Thompson of Clinton, also swerved to the left to avoid contact. But the Blazer struck the left side of the Harvester.

Central Cass County Ambulance transported Bane to Cass County regional medical Center with minor injuries, while Thompson and his passenger, 84-year-old Patsy A. Beaty of Clinton were transported with serious injuries.
