Three Slater residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2003 Chevy Malibu, driven by 47-year-old Eugene E. Fizer of Slater, was on Highway 240, east of Primrose Avenue around 8 a.m, when the Chevy crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor, driven by 36-year-old Amanda A. Pycke, also of Slater.

Pycke and her passenger, a 10-year-old male, suffered minor injuries. They were transported by private vehicle to University of Missouri Hospital.

Fizer suffered moderate injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled.
