Three People Injured in Johnson County Crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County Wednesday just before noon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Erik R. Wildeman, 45, Leeton, was the driver of a northbound 2012 Dodge Ram at 1082 SE 501 Road at 11:55 a.m., when a 2013 Dodge Ram driven by 33-year-old Samantha J. Gilland of Oak Grove approached a curve and traveled into the path of the 2012 Ram, striking it head on.

Wildeman and Gilland suffered moderate injuries. A passenger in the 2013 Ram, Jeremy A. Bowers, 35, of Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries. All three were transported by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center. Wildeman and Gilland were wearing safety devices, while Bowers was not, according to the report.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
