Trenton Man Injured in Pettis County Crash

A Trenton man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred in Pettis County this morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Jose S. Barron, IV was the driver of a southbound 2002 Accura on US 65, north of Deer Park Road when his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. The driver was ejected through the rear window of the vehicle. He was not wearing a safety device, according to the report.

Barron was transported by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Accura had extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Department assisted the Patrol with the investigation.
