Two Killed in Accident Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 65
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a fatality accident last night (March 6) after a semi-truck struck a vehicle head-on.
According to the accident report, 67-year-old Eldon Coleman of Sedalia was traveling eastbound when the 2005 Nissan he was driving became disabled in the southbound lanes of US-65 due to a prior accident. A southbound 200 Freightliner struck Coleman's vehicle head on.
Both Coleman and a passenger, 43-year-old Melissa Coleman of Sedalia, were pronounced dead on the scene and transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office. No injuries were reported for the driver of the truck.
