This is an update on a story brought to you earlier by the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office
Robert J. Neighbors, 53, Sedalia, was convicted by a Jury on June 26, 2015, after two days of Trial in the Circuit Court of Pettis County on two counts of Child Molestation in the 1st Degree.  Circuit Judge Dennis Rolf presided over the matter after a change of judge.  Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Phillip T. Sawyer presented on behalf of the State.  Because the child victim was under the age of 12 and because the defendant had previously been convicted of an offense under Chapter 566 RSMo. (revised statutes of Missouri) the defendant is subject to a maximum range of punishment up to Life in Prison on each count, Without the Possibility of Parole.  Sentencing is scheduled for August 10, 2015.

NEW – ROBERT J. NEIGHBORS, was sentenced today (August 10, 2015) to two consecutive terms of life in prison for Child Molestation in the 1st Degree without parole.  This is the result of a Jury Trial that concluded June 26, 2015 in the Circuit Court of Pettis County.
