The 2023 Veterans Day parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 in downtown Sedalia. Smith-Cotton JROTC and Sedalia Veterans Organizations are co-sponsoring a Veterans Day Parade to honor all Veterans. 

Any individual, school, organization, group, club, or business may enter the parade. Any appropriate entry is acceptable (Veteran-Oriented or Patriotic theme, or anything that helps to honor and/or recognize Veterans is encouraged and appreciated).

The parade is to show support for and to honor those who served this great country so that you and I may enjoy the freedoms and principles we have today, according to Yale B. Barkefelt, 1SG, US Army (Ret.), Army JROTC Instructor, Smith-Cotton High School
Send all parade registrations to jrotc@sedalia200.org with your full intentions (i.e. John Doe, Email, Phone Number, Organization, number of vehicles/trailers/motorcycles etc.)

There is no charge to enter the parade. Entries are due no later than Oct. 31.

2023 Veterans Day Parade Route

Start:
-6th and Massachusetts, going West on 6th
-Turn right (North) onto Ohio
-Continue North on Ohio till Main Street
-Turn right (East) onto Main
-Continue East on Main till Massachusetts
-Turn right (South) onto Massachusetts
-Continue on Massachusetts until 6th
-Disband in this location (END)

Side Notes:
-Band and JROTC marchers can continue to US 50 (Broadway) and cross with the light. (Police will assist)
-Floats may exit however they wish to vacate the area
-Large trucks with trailers will be assisted from the area.
