Victor J. “Vic” Van Dyne, 75, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

A visitation will be held 10 am – 12 noon on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel followed by a private family graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Vic was born December 2, 1939, in Sedalia to Charles M. and Sarah K. (Kaiser) Van Dyne. Vic graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1957. He was in the United States Army, serving Dachau, Germany from 1962-1964. He worked for Adco, Inc. for 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Vic is survived by his daughter Molly Maassen and her husband, Tom, two grandsons, Adam and Caleb, of Linn; his son Jay Van Dyne and his wife, Melissa, two granddaughters Grace and Sophie, of Jefferson City; his brother Charles “Van” Van Dyne, and his wife, Suzy, of Sedalia; and his sister Charlotte Radke and her husband, Charles, of Dallas TX.

Vic enjoyed his life and had a tremendous compassion for others.

The greatest influences in Vic’s life were Leland “Duke” Gibson, Bill Cason and Craig White.
