Viola Geraldine "Jerry" Keele age 88 of Sedalia died on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.

She was born on May 24, 1927 in Pettis County, daughter of Ezra J. and Mary Nichols Baldwin. She was one of thirteen children. On May 26, 1946, in Sedalia,she was married to Eugene R. Keele for 59 years who preceded her in death on December 29, 2005. She attended Striped College School through the 8th grade. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church for several years and a member of Sedalia Church of God for the last six years. Geraldine was well known for her homemade pies and cookies especially her coconut cream, chocolate pies and her sugar cookies.

She worked at Bothwell Regional Health Center for 43 years as a nurse aide. She loved taking care of her patients. She made many quilts through the years and collected teapots. Geraldine looked forward to Saturday evenings with the Gaithers on TV.

She is survived by four children; Wayne (Dianna) Keele of Lake Worth, Florida, Jeanie Keele of Sedalia, Gerald (Sue) Keele of Webb City, Missouri and Carroll (Earline) Keele of Sherwood, Arkansas, six grandchildren; Christina MacAllister, David Keele, Stacy Keele, Candi Cauley, Carol Honda and Tim Keele, twelve great grandchildren, five sisters; Laura Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, Dorothy Petty of Blue Springs, Missouri, Helen Hatfield of Columbus, Ohio, Ruth Baldwin of Sedalia and LaVerna Riggins of Muncie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers; Jim Baldwin, John Baldwin and Harry Baldwin, four sisters; Beverly Baldwin, Mary Miller, Catherine Davidson and Christine Crain.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Randell Baugus officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Keele, Tim Keele, Caleb Cauley, Michael Cauley, Travis Keele and Devin Keele. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia. Memorials may be given to Sedalia Church of God. You may leave condolences online at ewingschuttesemlerfh.com
