Sedalia Police have received several reports of wallets and currency that have been taken from inside vehicles.

Several of those thefts were reported between Wednesday and Thursday (June 20 - 21).

On Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Boonville Street, where the victim stated a window on her vehicle had been smashed. Her wallet was reported missing.

On Wednesday, a theft victim parked a car in the area of 18th Street and Park Ave. The victim went out to the car Thursday morning and discovered the interior had been ransacked. She reported that a pink and black clasp wallet was missing.

Around 11:00 Wednesday night, a victim in the 1800 block of S. Park Ave left a car parked overnight. At approximately 10:30 Thursday morning the victim came back to find the vehicle had been rummaged through and some currency had been taken. According to the report, there may be security footage of the incident, which will be reviewed.

Also on Wednesday, a theft victim in the 300 block of E. Howard told police the driver's side front window on a vehicle had been smashed out. A wallet was reported missing.

Another theft report from Wednesday involved a victim telling police she had gone into Wal-Mart but when she returned to her vehicle about 15 minutes later, she noticed someone had stolen her son-in-law's wallet from inside the vehicle. At this time, there are no suspects.
