Warrensburg Man Seriously Injured in Rollover Accident

A Warrensburg man was seriously injured in a one-car rollover accident that occurred just north of Knob Noster on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Emilio A. Diaz, 26, Warrensburg, was southbound on 23 Highway at 2:24 p.m. Sunday and failed to negotiate a curve at SE 175 Road. The 2011 Chevrolet he was driving traveled off the roadway, struck a sign, overturned, crossed a private drive, continued to overturn and eventually came to rest down an embankment.

Diaz, who was wearing a safety device, was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Johnson County EMS.

The Chevy was totaled and towed from the scene.

The Patrol was assisted at the accident scene by the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, the Knob Noster Police Department and Whiteman Air Force Security Forces.
