Waverly Juvenile Dies in UTV Rollover in Lafayette County

A 13-year-old boy died in a UTV rollover that occurred Tuesday night in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2013 Polaris 900GF1, driven by a 13-year-old male from Waverly, was on Durant Road, just west of Salt Fork Road around 7:30 p.m., when the Polaris traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

The juvenile was transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by Carroll County EMS and pronounced dead at 8:52 p.m., by Dr. A. Horine.

Lafayette County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
