Alma Lilly Dey, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born July 18, 1941, in Cole Camp, one of twelve children of the late Lawrence D. and Elda L. Brandt Eckhoff. She was baptized and confirmed at Brauersville Lutheran Church. She graduated from Cole Camp High School in 1959. Upon graduating, she worked as a secretary at Town and Country Shoes from 1959 to 1963.

On June 2, 1963, in Stover, she married William Ross Dey, who survives of the home. To this union, two children were born, Edward Ross Dey and Warren Patrick Dey.

Alma worked at Community Bank from 1964 to 1968, and retired after 30 years as administrative assistant at the State Fair Community College business office.

Alma enjoyed donating her time for 30+ years managing the concession stand at Liberty Park Baseball Stadium. She enjoyed cooking and being around fans and ball players. She also managed the concession stand at SFCC for their sporting events for about 20 years until her health started failing. In 2011, she was inducted into the SFCC Athletic Hall of Fame.

She was a faithful servant at Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church in Sedalia, where she served as treasurer for over 25 years.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Warren Dey, of Jefferson City; a daughter-in-law, Amy Dey, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Logan and Bailey Dey; six siblings, Nelson Eckhoff, of Sedalia, Kenneth Eckhoff and wife Linda, of Cole Camp, Rodger Eckhoff and wife Debbie, of Cole Camp, Rosaline Scott, of Windsor, Ella Knierim, of Stover, Elda Bryson, of Sedalia; and four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Herrick, Mary Eckhoff, Armilda Eckhoff and Geraldine Eckhoff.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ross Dey; five brothers, Marvin, Eldon, Virgil, Ralph and Leroy; two sisters-in-law, Patty Bain and Margaret Eckhoff; and five brothers-in-law, Wilbert Bain, Harvey Herrick, Eckhart Knierim, Randy Scott and Bob Bryson.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kim Knowle-Zeller officiating.
Casket bearers will be: Martin White, Mark Wheeler, Darren Pannier, Gary Meyer, Jeff Mays and Tim Herrick.

Honorary bearers will be grandchildren: Jordan, Logan, Taylor and Bailey Dey.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at First Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Liberty Park Stadium Fund or Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church.
