William Bryan Wilson, Sr. 82, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home.  He was born on December 20, 1932 in Philadephia, PA and raised in Crisfield, MD, a son of Charles and Ruby E. (Cooke) Wilson.

On September 16, 1955 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Dixie L. Bryan, who survives of the home.

Bill loved coaching his son's little league, Babe Ruth baseball, and soccer teams. He enjoyed working on computers and bowling. Bill worked at the Sedalia Democrat for 33 years, retiring in January of 1996. He served his country honorably in the US Air Force, during the Korean War from 1953 until 1957. He was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Sedalia.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons William B. Wilson, Jr. (Kari) of Nampa, ID, David L. Wilson (Pam) of Kansas City, MO, and Steve M. Wilson (Lisa) of Nixa, MO; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Wilson and a brother at infancy.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the MO State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville with Pastor Rob Hughes officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Bothwell Cancer Center, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
