Moniteau County deputies recently arrested a 31-year old man for drugs after responding to a report of a woman who was unresponsive in a vehicle.

The Moniteau County Sheriff's Department says on April 9, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway C just north of High Point, MO. Authorities investigated a vehicle that was parked in a construction zone on the roadway and female passenger who was reportedly unresponsive.

The woman was taken to a hospital for a possible drug overdose. Deputies also made contact with the male driver, Clinton T. Clough, of Macks Creek.

Deputies say Clough appeared disoriented and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of Clough reportedly revealed Suboxone, which is listed as a Schedule III Controlled Substance.

Clough was also found to be on probation for possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property. He was arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, with a bond of $25,000.00.
