A two-vehicle accident that occurred in Moniteau County Wednesday night resulted in a double fatality.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2003 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 43-year-old Martin L. Fisher of Virginia Beach, Va., was on Route C, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a southbound 2013 Peterbilt 386 on Highway 87 at 9 p.m.

Fisher, as well as the driver of the Peterbilt, 44-year-old Adrian Salcedo of Moscow, Kansas, were pronounced dead by Assistant Moniteau County Coroner Brad Friedmeyer at 9:34 p.m.

The bodies were taken to Windmill Ridge Funeral Home in California.

Both vehicles were totaled.

This was Troop F's 5th and 6th fatalities for September, and the 44th and 45th for 2021.
