Three California, MO residents were recently arrested in two separate drug cases.

The first incident took place May 6, when Moniteau County Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway F for a moving violation.

A press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office indicates that upon speaking with the driver, deputies were granted a consent to search the vehicle. Officers reportedly located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on the passenger side.

The passenger, 26-year old Ocio G. Noe, was arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth). Noe's bond was set at $25,000.


The second incident occurred Wednesday (May 9), when Moniteau County deputies responded to a report of "suspicious" people trying to hitchhike outside California, MO on Highway O.

Deputies made contact with 21-year old Patrick R. Coffelt and 31-year old Natasha G. Larsen. Deputies began checking the subjects and reportedly recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia. Coffelt and Larsen were arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail.

Coffelt faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Possession of Marijuana. He has a total bond of $25,500.

Larsen faces a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, with a bond of $10,000.
