Absentee Voting Under Way in Pettis County
Absentee voting is now under way for Pettis County voters who want to cast their ballot early for the April 8 Municipal Election, according to Pettis County Election Authority Megan Page.
“If you can’t make it to the polls on Election Day, be sure to request your absentee ballot and submit it before the deadline,” read a facebook post from the Pettis County Elections Office.
You may vote absentee through April 7, if you are registered. And the last day for registration is March 12.
In addition, you may vote absentee on Saturday, April 5 downtown.
Office hours downtown at the Pettis County Clerk’s Office, 215 E. 5th Street, are 8 to 5 weekdays. Call 826-5000 or go online at pettisclerk.gov.
Also, due to inclement weather last week, the Clerk’s Office is extending the “I Voted” sticker design contest to Friday, Feb. 28. Entries will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday. Winners will announced March 3.
