Adeline Theresa Balke, 92, of Cole Camp, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Good Samaritan Care Center, Cole Camp.  She was born on May 24, 1920, on the Heisterberg family farm south of Cole Camp, Missouri, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Kipp) Heisterberg.  On June 1, 1920, she was baptized by Rev. Karl Niermann in Cole Camp and was confirmed on May 4, 1934, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stover by Pastor P. E. Stolz.  In 1939, she graduated from Cole Camp High School.  In the 1940's, Adeline worked for Goetz Garage and Thomasetti Shoes in Cole Camp.   On May 7, 1955, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, Rev. Kuhlmann united her in marriage to Rufus Claus Herman Balke, who preceded her in death on August 2, 2006.  After her marriage, she worked the farm with Rufus and took care of her mother, Lizzie.  She was a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church North Lincoln and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.  The couple lived on a farm near Lincoln until the early 1980's when they moved to Cole Camp.  She enjoyed playing cards and dancing and later, playing Bingo at the nursing home.   She is survived by:             two sisters-in-law, Delores Heisterberg of the State of California and Alice Balke Borchers of Cole Camp;             several cousins; and             many nieces and nephews.   Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lizzie Heisterberg, her son, David William Balke, her half-sister, Lorena Riggs, and three brothers, Emil, Herbert, and Walter Heisterberg.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, North Lincoln, with  Rev. Leonard Poppe officiating.  Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, North Lincoln.
