14-year-old Sedalia girl reports being raped

Wednesday afternoon the Sedalia Police investigated a case of Statutory Rape 2nd degree that reportedly took place in a home in the 1400 block of South Ohio.  According to the victim she had non-consensual intercourse with the suspect identified as 31-year-old Isom B. Folsom of the residence. The police report states Folsom admitted he had sex with the victim during the investigation. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending further action.

Investigation of a hit and run accident results in arrest for a Sedalia Man

Just after noon on Thursday the Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run accident at Main and Osage. Upon contact with both drivers it was found that one of them identified as 34-year-old Carey M Weir of Sedalia was a suspended driver with a warrant out of Lafayette County for failure to appear on traffic related charges. Weir was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $684.50.

Pettis County Sheriff's Crime Reports

According to a Pettis county Sheriff’s report a Green Ridge Bus that was at Transcentral Supply Inc. located at 4701 South Limit for repairs had a radio valued at $1142.00 stolen. An investigation is ongoing into the theft.

On Tuesday a victim in the 500 block of East 14th reported the theft of items from property he owns on Treasure Road in Pettis County. Value of the stolen property according to the Pettis County Sheriff’s report is $770. The sheriff’s department is conducting an investigation at this time.
