Hughesville man arrested Tuesday night on drug related charges

Around 8:40 Tuesday night Sedalia Police observed a vehicle in front of them pull to the side of the road, and a man flea from the scene on foot. The suspect identified as 20-year-old Darren A. Morey of Hughesville was located hiding in a garage in the area of 11th and Marvin. He was found to have an active Sedalia warrant for failure to appear to pay back fines, and Pettis County warrants for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond on the Pettis County warrants was set at $15,000 cash or surety, and the Sedalia Municipal Warrant had a $400 cash only bond.

Traffic stop Tuesday morning results in arrest for a Sedalia man

At 3:38am Tuesday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 19th and Ingram for disobeying a stop sign. Upon contact with the driver 20-year-old Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith he was found to have an active failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County, and a Sedalia Municipal warrant for traffic offences. A subsequent search revealed Smith was also in possession of Brass Knuckles. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $50 cash only bonds bond on the Pettis County warrant, and $10 cash only bond for the municipal warrant.

Sedalia man arrested during a traffic stop early this (Wednesday) morning

Just after midnight this (Wednesday) morning the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at East Broadway and Harding Ave. A check on the driver Richard Lee McPhail of Sedalia found he was a revoked driver. McPhail was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

South Quincy victim reports property damage Monday night

Just after 11:30 Monday night Sedalia Police Officers were dispatched to a property damage complaint in the 200 block of South Quincy. Upon arrival the victim reported a window of his residence had been broken out, with estimated damage of $150. There was no information on a suspect at the time of the police report.
