Arthur Harry Jentz, 79, slipped into God's loving arms on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 in Granbury following a lengthy illness.

Arthur was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Hughesville, MO. to Harry and Rosie Jentz. Growing up in Sedalia, Arthur was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and CB Radio Club. His greatest passion was when he received his pilot's license to fly planes. He served in the Missouri National Guard and worked for Boeing Aircraft Co. in MO., Penn., Wash. and Fort Worth. Arthur retired from General Dynamics/Boeing and went to work for the "T" Transportation Co., retiring from the "T" in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors: Ken Burgess of the home; sister, Alice Hays and husband, Larry; nephew, Clayton Hays and wife, Bia; niece, Cynthia Hinckley and husband, Bryan; great nephews, Brendan and Chandler Hinckley and Austin Hays; great step nieces, Laurita Sela and Albana Warnack; and many friends.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Heckart Funeral Home.
