Boyfriend, Girlfriend Both Arrested in Disturbance Call

Sedalia Police arrested two people Wednesday after being called to a disturbance in the 2100 block of S. Washington.

According to a report, the victim reported that her boyfriend assaulted her. The boyfriend, 37-year-old Jessie Nathan Abney, of the 2100 block of S. Washington, was taken into custody.

He tried to pull away from the officer while being arrested. He was charged with resisting arrest and 4th Degree Domestic Assault.

A computer check revealed that the girlfriend, 37-year-old Tobey Yvette Cole, also of 2104 S. Washington, was wanted on a Slater Police warrant for a traffic offense. She was issued a $225 cash bond on the warrant.
