Boys & Girls Club Names New CEO
Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri Board of Directors has named Patrick Stewart as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Stewart has served as the Club’s interim director since July and will take over full-time in early December.
With nearly two decades of service to the Boys & Girls Club movement, primarily at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ozarks, Stewart is a seasoned nonprofit leader who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to driving membership growth, fostering relationships and a deep passion for youth development.
“Having grown up as a Club kid myself and experiencing those impacts first-hand, I don’t take this opportunity lightly,” Stewart said. “It’s been an honor to step in and work alongside our capable staff, board of directors and the communities the Club serves to further enhance our Boys & Girls Club mission.”
As the Club’s CEO, Stewart’s responsibilities include leading the organization’s strategic direction, oversight of organizational operations, financials, programming, resource development and stakeholder relationships. The director also serves as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator.
“The Board of Directors are very excited to have Patrick as our new CEO,” said Board President Kim Lyne. “We spent countless hours finding a good leader for our Club and believe Patrick’s 20 years of experience and knowledge of the Club, paired with his passion and dedication for the movement, make him the right person for this position.
“Patrick is stepping into this role at a very busy time and we are confident he’ll be able to tackle anything that comes his way. He’s going to do great things leading BGC.”
In addition to serving as the Director of Operations at BGC of the Ozarks, Stewart has consistently been recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Missouri Association for Adult Continuing and Community Education and local Ozark-area community groups.
The executive director search process was conducted over several months by Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s CEO Search Team, in partnership with a search committee made up of board members. For more information, contact the Club at 660-826-8331 or info@bgckids.com.
