Gabby White To Become New Sedalia Chamber Executive Director
Gabrielle White has been named the new executive director of the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce.
White will fill the position of former Executive Director Debra Andresen.
“Gabby” currently works at the Boys & Girls Club of West Central Missouri as assistant director of development. She submitted her resignation letter earlier this week.
White stated her last day at the Club will be April 30. She added that her decision to leave the Club was not made lightly “and it comes after much reflection on my personal and professional growth.”
White went on to say that “leaving the Boys & Girls Clubs is bittersweet because of the incredible team I’ve worked alongside and all of the passionate individuals who dedicate their time and resources to ensuring our young people have every opportunity to succeed,” she said in her resignation letter.
“I will always be a champion for this incredible organization and it vital work,” White concluded.
“Well, my time at the Boys & Girls Clubs is coming to an end as I have accepted the position as the Executive Director of the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce. BGC has had such a positive impact on my life so this change will be bittersweet, but I am truly excited to continue working with our community in this new capacity,” White said in a facebook post Wednesday morning.
White has been invited to be on KSIS radio for comments relating to her job transition decision.
Andresen was also asked to be on the radio January 25 to explain why she left. So far that hasn’t happened.
