This morning (September 19), the Sedalia School District School Board announced that Brad Pollitt would be hired as the Superintendent of Sedalia Schools effective July 1, 2013.

Pollitt has served as the Assistant Superintendent in the Sedalia Schools for the last six years. The Sedalia School Board believes that Pollitt has been important to managing the technology needs of the district and improving the current facilities and heading up the human resources for the District.

Last year, Dr. Harriet Wolf announced that she would retire as the Sedalia Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2012. However Dr. Wolf changed her mind with the support of the School Board to extend that to July 1, 2013. Since Dr. Wolf's announcement the Sedalia School District had actively searched out for a replacement.
