Branson Man Killed in Weekend Accident on US 65

An accident on US 65 north of Branson killed a 22-year-old man around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Philip A. Ruiz of Branson last control of a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 that left the roadway and overturned. The vehicle was totaled and Ruiz was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Deputy Coroner Kent Vanderpool.

This is the 113th fatality in 2018 for the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop D region.
