Camdenton Man Killed in Rollover Crash

A Camdenton man was killed in a one-car crash that occurred Sunday night in Camden County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2001 Mercury Mountaineer driven by 35-year-old of John L. Wood of Camdenton was on Old Morgan Road, a mile and a half south of US 54, when at 10:04 p.m., the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned and returned to the roadway.

Wood was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:40 p.m. by Dr. Robinson. Wood was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Mercury was totaled.
