CASA Art Exhibit Slated for April 1
Citizens Against Spouse Abuse (CASA) is hosting their second annual art exhibit at the Home & Garden Show at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on April 1 from 9 a.m., to 6 p.m.
Since April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, CASA is inviting art students & community members to enter a drawing or painting of their artwork depicting survival of abuse or impacts of abuse.
“Last year, we had some amazing artwork submitted by students and community members with over 1,800 viewers for the event. Art can be paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, etc.,” said Julie Hoffert, CASA director of development.
“We are inviting participants at the art exhibit to select their favorite piece by paying $1 per vote for People’s Choice. The winning piece will be awarded the CASA People’s Choice plaque and a $50 gift card,” Hoffert said.
The event is free to enter. Those interested in participating, can register at one of the two links listed below.
