Citizens Against Spouse Abuse (CASA) will hold their annual 5K Color Run at the Missouri State Fairgrounds starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 21.

 

The event was postponed from April 5 due to rain showers the weather forecast.

As of right now, Saturday's forecast calls for 62 chance of percent rain, with a high of only 49.

Entry fee is $30 each, $15 for kids ages 8-13, and free for ages 2-7. Cost is $40 for a “virtual run.”

 

The event is part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April ).

 

Earlier in the week, a proclamation took place at the Municipal Building April 2. And a county proclamation took April 3 at the Pettis County Courthouse.

 

 

The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners softball team is scheduled to play Jefferson College Saturday, April 5 in a double header as a fund-raising event for CASA with a Sexual Assault Awareness theme.

 

Games will be played at 1 and 3 p.m.,. weather permitting.
