On Thursday morning, the Pettis County Commissioners were joined by staff and volunteers from CASA, as well as staff from Katy Trail Community Health and Larry Parham, Pettis County Sheriff's Office Community Interaction Deputy, as the Commission proclaimed the month of April 2025 Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).

"The Commission expresses full support for CASA and commits to promoting awareness and preventing sexual violence within our community, while persisting in having discussions, offering assistance, and actively striving to cultivate a secure atmosphere for all," a press release stated.
