Centerview Man Injured in Rear-end Wreck

A 92-year-old man was moderately injured on Wednesday after his vehicle was struck in the rear by another vehicle in Johnson County.

The MSHP reports that 38-year-old Joshua L. Turney of Warrensburg was the driver of an eastbound 2005 Ford Escape on US 50 at W 151 Road at 1:47 p.m., when he struck the rear of a 1991 Ford Ranger driven by 92-year-old John M. Speck of Centerview.

Speck was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD for treatment. Both drivers were wearing a safety device, according to the report.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
