On Tuesday, the Pettis County Commission and the City of Sedalia issued a joint proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month on behalf of Child Safe of Central Missouri, Inc.

“Taking care of kids in our community starts with looking out for one another and supporting families when they need it. When families feel supported, kids have a better chance to grow up safe, stable, and surrounded by people who care. We appreciate those across Pettis County who are committed to this work every day and who continue to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families. Together, we can build a safer, stronger community for all,” a statement read.
