A 68-year-old Clinton man escaped with minor injuries after he ran off the roadway in Henry County Wednesday night in order to avoid hitting another vehicle and overturned his 1976 GMC truck.

According to the report, James C. Lewis was wearing his seat belt when he was eastbound on SW 300 Road, just west of SW 901 Road (north of Montrose Conservation Area) around 9:45 p.m., when ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Lewis suffered minor injuries, and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for treatment.

The GMC only had minor damage, according to the report.
