Saturday, Oct. 4 - Tours of Smith-Cotton Junior High (the former high school), 7:30 to 9:30 am. In the spotlight are the Main Gym’s makeover and Instrumental and Vocal Music rooms upgrades.

***Due to the band competition, there will be no alumni tours at Smith-Cotton High School on Saturday, Oct. 4.
S-C Homecoming Parade starts at 3 p.m. Oct. 3 in downtown Sedalia
The traditional Homecoming parade starts at 3 p.m. on South Ohio Avenue in downtown Sedalia. Grand Marshal is Sedalia 200 Board of Education Director Scott Gardner. The parade will feature Smith-Cotton athletic and activity groups, the Tiger Pride Marching Band, S-C JROTC, class reunion groups and a variety of local entries. Parade entries may hand out candy, but are advised not to throw candy for patrons' safety.
Smith-Cotton Tigers take on Battle at 7 p.m. Oct. 3.
The Smith-Cotton Tigers Football team faces CMAC opponent Battle for its Homecoming game at 7 pm Friday, Oct. 3 in Tiger Stadium at Smith-Cotton High School.
The game also features performances by the Smith-Cotton Tiger Pride Marching Band, the High Voltage dance team and S-C cheerleaders. The 509th Security Services Squadron and the 509th Maintenance Group from Whiteman Air Force Base will be in attendance and will be recognized between the first and second quarters. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime.
Adult admission is $5; senior citizens age 65 and older admitted free.
There also will be a fireworks display after the game, courtesy of the Sedalia School District Foundation.
SSDF Community Breakfast features student performances
Sedalia School District Foundation will offer its annual Community Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 am Saturday, Oct. 4, in the FEMA Building at Smith-Cotton Junior High School. Tickets are $5 at the door, with children age 5 and younger eating free of charge; biscuits & gravy, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes and beverages will be served.
"Future Alumni" student vocal music performances will be part of the festivities. Here is the lineup:

Junior high students will begin their performances by 7:45 a.m. and finish by 8:10 a.m.
