On Sunday night around 9:49 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 1800 block of South Sneed.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to speak to both parties involved and one them was very irate and began making threats while officers were investigating the call.

According to the probable cause statement, when Officers arrived, Prewitt was already yelling and pointing towards his neighbor's house.  He was reported as saying, "F**k that b***h.  F**k that stupid racist drunk b***h.  If she calls my wife a n****r one more time, I'm gonna break her f***king jaw." Prewitt stated his neighbors had slammed screws into their fence to stab his dog.  Prewitt's wife explained the situation, saying the problem has been ongoing with a fence between the neighbors for the last two years.  At that point, Prewitt became irate again, threatening to burn the fence down.  Officers told Prewitt to calm down and stop yelling, or he would be going to jail.  Then Prewitt turned to the Officers, pointing at them, shouting "You too, bud.  You don't f***ing own me. You f***ing pig, f*** you."  Prewitt's wife then pushed him into the house  and shut the wooden door,  as well as the glass door.  She then told Officers they wanted the victim to leave them alone and not hurt their dog.   Due to Prewitt's escalation, aggression, and threats, he was placed under arrest.  While he was being placed under arrest, Prewitt yelled to the victim, "I will burn your house down b****, you watch."

He now faces charges of 1st degree peace disturbance, and 1st degree harassment. Bond was later set at $5,000 cash or surety, with orders Prewitt is to have no contact with the victim.
